ALEX NOBLE

Designer of the September On|Off logo will be exhibiting some of his artwork around the On|Off event in September.

Alex Noble was born in south London in 1981, he went on to study women’s wear design at the London College of Fashion. Graduating in 2004 and had already been working as a stylist in the music industry for two years for artists like Alison Goldfrapp and the Scissor Sisters. Alex then became a stylist and display designer for Selfridges & Co where he stayed for two years. He is now also working as a costume designer and in 2007 had his first exhibition of art works. Working in mixed media and using found objects as his canvas he creates depictions of Goddesses, Empresses and Amazons from an imagined place and time. The found objects give a historical feel, the find influencing the final character. He draws influences form Art Nouveau, comic books, 70’s poster art, myths and legend, sub culture, pop art and fetishism.

THE METROPOLITAN HOTEL DESIGNER EXHIBITION

The Metropolitan, home of passion, creativity and style is now in its tenth season with over 50 designers exhibiting during London Fashion Week. Both emerging and established designers are situated over two dedicated floors plus additional floors and suites from Monday 17th September to Friday 21st September.

New for this season - Terry de Havilland presents a retrospective of his work in The Lobby Display, THE LOBBYISTS will be celebrating every day with couture cocktails and catwalk sounds from midday to 9.00pm in The Lobby Lounge. The legendary Pink Drinks Party on Tuesday 18th September is tipped to be the biggest yet with over 400 guests.
