Fashion Bite for On|Off

Q&A with On|Off exhibitor Andrew Majtenyi

Andrew MajtenyiWhat attracted you to show at On|Off?
I hear nothing but good things about On|Off. It’s always an interesting venue and there’s never a dull moment here!

What appeals about On|Off as a venue?
It’s a bit more intimate and focused, leaner and meaner than past seasons. It is always close to other LFW venues.

Why do you think On|Off is important for LFW?
It provides press and buyers a unique venue for labels and catwalk shows. Many designers move on to on-schedule and Paris.

What was the inspiration for your AW11 collection?
I was inspired by a recent visit to the British Library fascinated by the bookbinding and inside covers of early 20th century volumes.

How has the collection evolved from your SS11 offer?
There is a much clearer print story mixed with strong tailored separates. There is more in-depth experimentation with fabric combinations.

Who would you love to see wearing your collection?
Kim Kardashian, Rumer.

What is On for you?
The way London is evolving in terms of amazing design.

What is Off for you?
Fashion Week Blues.
