Telegraph fashion director Hilary Alexander says, "Jena Theos show was great, very gothic, perfect for tailor Momsen! I loved the oversized quilted geometric anorak and the mask of Zoro eye make-up."

Backstage Buzz
Backstage at Jena Theo, stylists created a futuristic look with dark, smouldering eyes on a nude base for the fashion designer’s sci-fi themed show. Make-up artists painted dramatic, thick black strips across models’ eyes and eyebrows.
Smudged, coal eye make-up was offset with a matt base, bronzed cheeks and nude lips.
Models had long, tussled hair, left loose down their backs. Stylists added to the look by creating elegant ‘halos’ with twists of hair looped around models’ heads.

On|Off kicked off London Fashion Week this season with a dark and dramatic on-schedule catwalk show from design duo Jena Theo. Designers Jenny Holmes and Dimitris Theocharidis combined fantasy fiction and Norse mythology to showcase a gothic runway of bold silhouettes, chunky wool knitwear, textured draping, patchwork leather jackets, opulent silk modal jerseys and sand wash silk satins.
Models from the show, called Valkyrie, standing for a band of celestial female warriers, dominated with strong silhouettes in a palette of black, charcoal, grey and ecru. Inspired by elements of 1980’s cinema, with references to Conan the barbarian, key pieces included an over-sized quilted anorak which descended the catwalk to rapturous applause. Draping, leather, contrasting textures and sleeveless capes with exposed pockets featured heavily in the collection. Crisp over-sized white shirts also made an appearance along with double denim, from clean treated washes to dirtier blacks and greys.
Jena Theo will also be exhibiting their AW11 collection at the On|Off exhibition in Paris from March 5-9 at Galerie cadain, 76 Rue Quincampoiz, 75003.
