Jessie Western ready to wear brand celebrates the real craftsmanship of the Native American Indian artists, Jessie Western have supported and collaborated with for over 24 years. Mixing innovation and tradition, Jessie has recently collaborated with luxury sports brand Do, designing a range of sports leggings, t-shirts and unique lime red edition sweat shirts.
Jessie Western signature pieces are hand woven Native American Indian blanket coats using limited edition blankets, each blanket has a story. Others include hand beaded and painted suede fringed jackets, with leather, denim and suede. The collection comprises of prairie dresses, suede trousers, cowboy boots and bags. Jessie Western also specialises in rare and unusual stones, passionate collectors of Native American Indian jewelry with a passion for stones, design and one off pieces laden with diamonds, Tsavorites, tourmalines and rare aquamarines are a specialty.
Jessie’s vision coloration’s with the many talented native artist in a natural and slow evolving way. “We respect the energy and life that every piece of art is given”, says Jessie, “It is authentic and Its so important now more than ever to know who makes your clothes and where they come from, made for life”. Sisters Jessie and Vicky are co founders of Jessie Western have been visiting the reservations in Arizona for over twenty -five years and support over four thousand artists directly. “We have forged close relationships with the artists over the years”.
The spirit animals they carve on the reservation have a special meaning, like the eagle for example, too seek a higher perspective and widen their vision. We feel blessed to have watched so many ceremonial dances which inspire our fashion collection.
A regular designer featured in Vogue and sold at the Tate modern and also the Jessie Western store in the famous Portobello shop.
