Hailed by The Sunday Times STYLE and cool barometer Richard Mortimer’s ponystep.com as the face to watch in the world of make-up artistry, Andrew’s love affair with make-up began whilst studying Interactive Arts at Manchester University.

Andrew chose the face as his specialist subject and on graduation nabbed himself a job as internationally renowned make-up artist, Sharon Dowsett’s No.1 assistant

On going solo, Andrew soon became a regular on shoots for Dazed, Tatler and Elle amongst other publications. His editorial work brought him to the attention of industry legends Patrick Demarchelier, Ellen Von Unwerth and Rankin and soon he was shooting advertising with them. Clients include Jitrois, Bodyshop, Marks and Spencer, Make-up Forever, LK Bennet, Martini and Cartier.

Andrew’s versatility and innate comprehension of a brief have seen him create looks for clients as diverse as Bloomingdales and Beth Ditto.

Andrew was appointed Dior’s first UK brand ambassador in June 2010 and has created beauty stories on their behalf for Elle, Harpers, Marie Claire and The Sunday Times Style.

Andrew was appointed Hunger magazine’s Beauty Editor at Large conceptualizing shoots and collaborating with his esteemed make-up artist peers to create an outstanding body of beauty work for Rankin’s bi-annual imprint.

Andrew’s talents come to the fore in a show environment and he designs looks for many of London Fashion Week’s stars including Erdem, Holly Fulton on behalf of M.A.C Cosmetics. Andrew’s Paris shows include Jitrois, Zandra Rhodes and Bernhard Willem.

Andrew Gallimore by Rankin was published December 2014 to massive critical and commercial success.

In Jan 2015, Andrew was announced as NARS Cosmetics UK Ambassador. Andrew comments: “François Nars is a true visionary – makeup artist, photographer, creative director. I’ve long been an admirer of his work and I am excited to be able to contribute to this brand he has built. NARS products are the perfect palette for me as a makeup artist.” Andrew’s first NARS commissions include beauty stories for ST Style, Stylist and Harpers as well as David Koma’s A/W 15 LFW show.

Andrew enjoys a busy schedule alternating between fashion, beauty and celebrity work – he even got to be part of the London 2012 Olympics continuing his collaboration with Jessie J. Other regular VIP clients include Bjork, Lily Allen, Gwendoline Christie and Cheryl Cole.

Andrew’s fine art background is unmistakable in his work and manifests itself in the finesse and freedom he displays. Andrew’s passion for beauty and all things fashion is indisputable and infectious – hence the high demand for his very particular beauty skills.
